lesson no. 13- be appreciative, esp the past

searched for songs of Cliff Richard thanks to my mom. :D

and i came across songs like,

theme for a dream and outsider. and looking at cliff richard, makes me feel that i should live in the past, rather than now.. the 21st century. i oso came across ricky nelson for songs like

I will follow you (a song jackie chan sang in his movie where he was naked, and siinging to the ladies that walked past him) lol!, then i'm sorry, byebye love, someday you'll want me to want you, and unchained melody.

The 50s-80s life as well as the songs were just so simple and so fun as compared to now... complicated, isolated, little interaction...and stressful!

and seriously, the guys in the past are all so refined and handsome! lol!!

no wonder girls go so crazy over them in the past.

that sets me thinking that time passed damn fast and good things need to be savoured before it expires.. and normally good time flies... those were the good ol' days!

although the technology now is so way better than the past, i think the quality of life the happiness in life were like simple bliss... understanding of things ..and relationships are so clean and clear..

of course, that's subjective. if i were to choose now. i'll go for the past. esp marvel comics from the past. they were classics! they are precious now.. cos it's going to 'extinct' soon.

look at the colour, the drawings, the words, the storyline, the material, were so simple yet so enjoyable to read, touch and smell. (yes the paper smell, while it's fresh, not the rotting ones. :P)

even the trains, like singapore's one... although the new one is so attractive, cos of the lighting and the material used, i still like the old one...the bus too.. i once took 851 that had the old comfy, big cushioned seats and below is the pict. :D

oh well, since i cant this fact, i think i'll just have to rely on my parents and youtube to relinquish those nice music era... seriously, nowaday's music is kinda terrible..

with those clashing instruments that dont compliment well... so torturous to the ear.. lol!!

but i dun deny the fact that some songs are still nice...eg

i guess we all need to appreciate what was in the past that will lead to today.. be grateful for everyday we lived.
